He was predeceased by: his father Alex Spears Jr.; his brothers, Donald Ray, Leonard Charles, Corneilus and Ralph Spears; and his son Greg Blanchette.
He is survived by: his wife Lou Jeanie Spears; his siblings, Nancy K. Hebert and Marshall Spears; and his daughters, Rosalind, Alexa (Terrance) and Ashley (Artrayous). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Missionary Baptist Church (1115 3rd St, Nome, TX 77629).
