He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Cook; and his brothers, Robert and Lynn Metcalf. He is survived by: his sons, David Gene Metcalf (Shirley) of Tatum and Bobby Lynn Metcalf of Beckville; and his grandchildren, Michael Metcalf of Austin Metcalf, U. S. M, Sgt Rylee Metcalf, Laney Metcalf and Brayden Metcalf. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
