She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Stanley Berger and Virginia Klamer Berger. She is survived by: her husband Doug Sanders; her sons, Joe Johnson (Lisa) and Jack Johnson (Laci); her stepson Garrett Sanders (Stacey); her grandchildren, Will, Anna Kate Johnson, Jake, Cole and Paige Johnson; and her friends, Ron, Linda Brown, Eddie, Michelle Redwine, Robert and Sara Snell.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to North East Emergency Distribution (N.E.E.D) or a charity of your choice, in honor of Carol's lifelong commitment to helping others.
