It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ellene Ida Mae Valenta (Beeville, Texas), who passed away at the age of 93, on April 5, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Otto Paul Hertel, Sr. and Lillie Hertel (Koerth); her husband Felix Valenta; and her brother Otto Hertel, Jr.. She is survived by : her children, John Valenta (Patty Bates) of Berclair, Nancy Liska (Don) of Beeville and Ann Warwas (William) of Yorktown; her grandchildren, Jennifer Crownover (Michael), Joshua Valenta (Megan) and Allison Young (Cody); and her brother Milton Hertel of Angleton. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

The family asks that memorial donations be given in her honor to Faith Lutheran Church, 1500 E. FM 351, Beeville, TX 78102; Beeville Vineyard, 201 N. Monroe, Beeville, Texas 78102; or a charity of your choice.
