He was predeceased by: his parents, Benito Joe and Maria Medina (Ochoa); and his sister Enedina Ochoa Medina. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia S. Lopez of Beeville; his children, Jodi Lynn Canfield of Virginia Beach, VA, Jasmine Lopez of Beeville, Joe Anthony Garza of Chickasha, OK and Benito Joe Medina of Virginia Beach, VA; and his sisters, Sandra Garcia (Rafaela M. Rodriguez), Mary Forbes of Seattle, WA, Elvia Baca (Linda Buckroff) and Rachel Medina of San Antonio. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
