She was predeceased by : her parents, Reuben Gandler and Faige Gandler. She is survived by : her siblings, Ida Kator, Minnie Pulman and Jake Gandler; her husband Bernard; her children, Shari Wright, Mitch and J. D. Solomon; and also, Bernice Reich and Mary Krute. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and scores of nieces and nephews and their children.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations to be made to Jewish Family Service or the Southern Poverty Law Center.
