He was predeceased by: his wife Kathryn Szanto; his parents, Robert Sr. Szanto and Rita Szanto; his siblings, Robert Jr. (Bobby), Willie, David, Gretchen Woodruff and Sammy Poppell; and his stepchildren, Lief and Gideon Ludvich.
He is survived by: his brothers, John Szanto and Bruce Szanto; and his stepchildren, Micah, Tammy, Sabrina, Judah and Roxanne Ludvich. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (4911 I 35 N Frontage Rd, Waco, TX 76705).
