It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marcela M. Briones of Benavides, Texas, who passed away on July 31, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus Mendez and Isabel Mendez (Adolio Briones). She is survived by: her children, Juan Rene Elizondo (Rose) of Ferris, TX, Oscar "Ronnie" Briones of Houston, TX and Anna Reyes (Daniel) of Lake Charles, LA; her stepson Joseph Briones (Dorothy) of Corps Christi, TX; and her brothers, Noe Mendez (late Olivia) and Roy Mendez (Elda) of Corpus Christi, TX. She is also survived by grandchildren; three (3) great-grandchildren.
