It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roy V. Floyd (Bonham, Texas), born in Alexandria, Louisiana, who passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Vernon Floyd and Omega Floyd; his brother James Floyd; and his nephews, Tyler Floyd and Seth Floyd.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Floyd of Bonham; his children, Sean Floyd of Bonham and Rory Floyd (Brian Hilliard) of Dodd City, Texas.; his sister Dianne; his brother-in-law Allan Gant of Stillwater, Oklahoma; his sister Debbie; his brother-in-law Brent Morey of Frederick, Oklahoma; his brother Randy; his sister-in-law Denise Floyd of Enid; his nephew Chad (Sondra Floyd) of Austin, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Will, Worth, Wyatt Lacy, Matthew Floyd and Kylie Walker. He is also survived by numerous nephews, a niece, and four great-nephews and a great niece.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Roy V. Floyd Community Center (1100 W 5th St, Bonham, TX 75418). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bonham Senior Citizens Center to continue the community service that Roy so deeply valued.
