He is survived by: his mother Sue Carpenter; his brothers, Frank Carpenter (Brenda) of Duncanville, TX and Joe Carpenter (Margie) of Clarksville, TX.; his sister-in-law Ann Carpenter of Bonham, TX; and his siblings' children, Mary Riggs (Kevin), Sharon McEachern (Ken), Scott Carpenter (Jennifer), Jim Carpenter (Deidra) and John Carpenter (Patti).
