It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melva Bridgwater (Bowie, Texas), born in Terral, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 23, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Harvey Richardson and Auda Richardson; her husband Jake Bridgwater; and her siblings, H. A., Doyle Richardson and JoAnn Stone.

She is survived by : her daughters, Tammy Brown (Darrell) of Colleyville and Julie Henderson (Steve) of Wichita Falls; her grandchildren, Bethany Smith (Paul), Jace Brown (Kendall), Bryce Henderson (Whitney), Chase Henderson (McKenzie) and Maddie Hendricks (Adam); her great grandchildren, Parker, Blakely, Jake, Mason and Andrew; and her sisters, Joyce May and Patsy Plaxco. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family requests memorial donations be made in Jean Bridgwater's name to First Baptist Church of Bowie or Hospice of Wichita Falls.
