With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vera Belle Lawson (Bowie, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 20, 2024 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ed Winters and Maude Winters (Griffin); her husband Louis; her daughter Karen; and her grandsons, Ben Gary and John Gary.

She is survived by : her daughters, Jenyne (Richard Fenoglio) of Bellevue, Janis Gary of Bowie and Belinda (Donnie Seale) of Vernon; her grandchildren, Marsha, Mark Hanson, Cinny, Bobby Terry, Tammy, Billy Wrobleski, Janet Gary, Jeremy, Becca Browning, Starla, Cory Gower and Haley Pittman; her great grandchildren, Amber, Craig Davis, Matthew, Rebeka Hanson, John Hanson, Michael Hanson, Kasey, Josh Hart, Kaylee Biles, Colby, Chyenne Shankle, Madison, Tim Cockshutt, Joseph, Olivia Tushka, Stephanie Kelly, Lauren Kelly, Cavin Kelly, Tristan Gower, Natalie Gower and Kaden Pittman; and her great great grandchildren, Carth, Cailan Belle, Louie, Kaleb, Anastasia, Josh, Kasen, Hayden, Teegan, Tatum, Jaxon, Aiden, Nathan, Dallas, Mia, Marley, Kimora, Andrew, Landon and Gavin.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the White Family Funeral Home (1418 TX-59, Bowie, TX 76230). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the First Free Will Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to God's Table - 505 Strong Street, Bowie Texas or another charitable organization.
