He was predeceased by : his parents, Wroe Lynch and Helen Hayne Wiley Lynch; his son Wroe Wiley Lynch, Jr.; his wife Kaye DeMoss Nixon Lynch; and his brother James Mason Lynch.

He is survived by : his close friend Genie Wallen Nixon of Brackettville; his children, Elizabeth Lynch Rochard (Buffy) of Brackettville and Justin Lynch of Beaumont; his stepsons, Toryn, Kevin Nixon of Leakey and Kerrville; his grandchildren, Meagan, Matthew and Michael Rochard of Houston; and his sister Cynthia Lynch Sharp of Grand Junction, Colorado..
