She was predeceased by: her parents, Amasa Shugart and Emma Woodall Shugart; her sons, Stephen and Alan; her husband William L. 'Bill Thomas; and her siblings, Billie Ruth Wilkerson, Flossie Dawkins, Nora Roberson, Maureen Coleman and A. W. 'Bud Shugart.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Sheri Hemby, Darby Thomas and Jodi Thomas; and her sisters, Lona Belle English and Dixie Pack.
