He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Berard and Edith Comeaux Berard; his children, Judy Marie Berard and Don Berard; his brother Walton Berard; and his parents-in-law, Edwin and Agnes Bourgeois.
He is survived by: his wife Cecile Bourgeois Berard; his children, Gary Berard (Sylvia) of Orangefield, Laura Blacksher (David) of Santa Fe and Brian Berard (Kelly) of Highland Village, Texas; and his grandchildren, Jarred LaComb (Chrissy), Christina Greenway (Sam), Melissa Whitford (Guy), Derek Blacksher (Lindsay), Alyssa Berard and Matthew Berard. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
