She was predeceased by: her parents, Arch Holmes and Idella Holmes; her siblings, Georgia Lee Bullion, John Wallace Holmes, Claude Shirley Holmes, Peggy Morris and Irma Zella Shackelford; her grandson Conrad Brentt Wilkes; and her husband Howard Hurd.
She is survived by: her children, Charlotte Wilkes (Rex) and Dr. Howard Hurd II (Redelle); her grandchildren, Mark Wilkes (Stacey), Mont Wilkes (Emrie), Rexann Wilkes Furlow (Steve), Dr. Howard Hurd III (Cheryl Hurd) and Colby Hurd (LaTavia); and her sister Pig McWhorter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
