He was predeceased by: his parents, Eulalio Gutierrez and Faustina Ortiz Gutierrez; his son Rene Gutierrez; and his siblings, Jesus Gutierrez, Eulalio Gutierrez Jr., Olivia Herrera, Maria Reyna, Sofia Cabrera and Linda Rayas.
He is survived by: his children, Oscar Gutierrez of Corpus Christi, TX and Joleen Audrey Gutierrez of Midland, TX; and his sisters, Patsy Flores of Brownfield, Lupe Salas of Brownfield, Janie Miranda of Brownfield, Yolanda Gutierrez of Brownfield and Josie Gutierrez of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
