The passing of Abel Zapata of Brownsville, Texas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 5, 2025 at the age of 80. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Casimiro Zapata and Ramona Zapata; and his siblings, Pedro Buendia, Petra Hernandez and Miguel Zapata.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Zapata; his children, Juan A. Zapata (Ana), Griselda Z. Robles (Arnoldo), Abel Zapata Jr., Gloria Z. Moreno (Magdaleno), Gabriel Zapata (Yadira), Jose Luis Zapata (Janie), Cristobal Zapata (Veronica), Esmeralda Zapata (Mark) and Rosalinda Zapata (Israel); and his sister Maria Rosalinda Juarez. He is also survived by 24 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, Chapel of Angels (125 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A rosary was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM.
