He was predeceased by: his wife Josefina Valles; and his grandson Mario Gonzalez II. He is survived by: his children, Rosa Isela Flores (Simon Flores), Hilda Leticia Garcia, Martha Elva Gonzalez (Mario Gonzalez), Joanna M. Granado (Eduardo Granado), Miriam Valles, Claudia Elizabeth Anaya (Ever Anaya), Arturo Valles (Norma Camargo), Eloy Valles II and Efrain Valles (Evanjelina); and his grandchildren, Jesus Edgar Flores, Vianeth Flores, Adriana Flores, Simon Flores Jr., Arturo Valles, Alberto Valles, Perla Angeles, Citlali Hernandez, Jackie Huerta, Nancy E. Fernandez, Gaston Garcia Jr., Marcus A. Garcia, David Gonzalez, Karina, Kayla Granado, Josefina, Jocelyn, Fabian, Cassandra, Sheila, Sebastian Valles, Michael Spratt, Douglas, Kodey, Miranda Thornton, Brandon and Bryan Anaya. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Angel Buena Vista Funeral Home (125 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521). A rosary will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
