She was predeceased by: her spouse Honorato Chapa; her children, Imelda Chapa, Ubaldo Chapa and Leticia Chapa; her parents, Ignacio Ortiz and Catarina Arozena; and her granddaughter Jisel Ramirez.
She is survived by: her children, Israel Chapa (Delia), Ovidio Garza (Maria D.), Honorato Chapa Jr., Adela Jantes (Alvaro), Maribel Ramirez (Humberto), Irmelda Miller (Donnie), Catalina Muñoz (Jose), Mario A. Chapa (Edna) and Corando Chapa (Liz). She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
