She was predeceased by: her husband Julian V. Escalera; her daughter Rut Escalera; her parents, Cipriano Lopez and Cleofas Villarreal; and her siblings, Maria Esiquia L. Sauceda, Maria Elena L. Delgado, Petra L. Mendoza, Alberto Lopez, Juan Manuel Lopez and Adan Lopez.
She is survived by: her children, Israel Escalera (Maribel), Josue Escalera (Francisca), Julian Escalera, Jr. (Ydalia), Noemi Gonzalez (Rene) and Juan B. Escalera (Sonia); and her brothers, Ramon Lopez and Cipriano Lopez, Jr. (Leticia). She is also survived by her 18 Grandkids.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista (125 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521). A prayer will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Buena Vista Burial Park (5 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521).
