She was predeceased by: her father Rafael Rodriguez Cantu; her husband Victoriano Ortega; her daughter Maria (Gilberto Duran) of Jesus Duran; her grandson Emmanuel Alvear; her son-in-law Delfino Flores; and her siblings, Rafael Cantu and Juanita Calderon.
She is survived by: her children, Oralia Ortega Flores (Delfino Gonzalez Avalos), Carmelita Ortega Alvear (Eusebio Alvear) and Victor Castillo (Angela Castillo); her grandchildren, Brenda Flores, Gilberto Duran, Lisa Murphy, Delfino Flores, Jr., Cindy Jimenez, Juanita Landeros, Eduardo Alvear, Elvia Alvear, Elsa and Santos; and her siblings, Aurora Perez and Guadalupe Cantu. She is also survived by her fourteen great-grandchildren.
