He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria De (Angeles Galvan) and Jacobo Ruiz; and his former wife Paula Ruiz Guzman. He is survived by: his wife Ramona Varela Lopez; his children, Ricardo, Arturo, Jose Luis, Rafael, Noe and Rene Ruiz; and his goddaughter Josefina Alvear. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
