With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Reyes A. Trevino (Brownsville, Texas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Don Victoriano and Doña Catarina Alanis; and her grandson Christopher Garcia. She is survived by: her family, Municipio of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, MĂ©xico, Don Victoriano Alanis Lopez and Doña Catarina Garza Fernandez; her siblings, Maria Luisa Treviño (Manuel), Catarina LĂ³pez (Jesus), Domingo, Concepcion Hinojosa (Juan Jose), Sara Sosa (Melquiades), Juan Alanis (Josefa G.), Alfonso Alanis (Lidia P.) and Raquel Lopez (Reynaldo); her husband Samuel Treviño Vidal; her sons, Omar, Horacio and Rolando Trevino Alanis; her children-in-law, Carlos Garza and Irma R. Trevino; her grandson Manuel Trevino; her daughters, Irma Treviño Alanis and Mary (Alfredo); her daughters-in-law, Lupita Trevino, Sally Trevino of Brownsville and Sarita Trevino of Chicago Heights, IL; her son Samuel Treviño Jr. (Clarita) of Houston; and her grandsons, Martin Treviño, Rolando Treviño Jr., Samuel Treviño III, Omar Treviño, Carlos Garza Jr. and Aldo Garza. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way and eight great-great grandchildren.
A vigil service was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Saint Lukes Catholic Church (2800 Rockwell Dr, Brownsville, TX 78521). A rosary was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St Luke Catholic Church (2800 Rockwell Dr, Brownsville, TX 78521). A Mass was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Buena Vista Burial Park (5 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521).
