We are sad to announce that on August 9, 2023, at the age of 78, Susan M. Schmachtenberger of Brownsville, Texas, born in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her husband Timothy Leiby Schmachtenberger, Sr.; her sons, Timothy Leiby Schmachtenberger, Jr. and Christopher Herff Schmachtenberger; her daughters-in-law, Lesli Anschutz Schmachtenberger and Michelle Lee Schmachtenberger; and her grandchildren, Lilly Jane Schmachtenberger, Lucy Michelle Schmachtenberger, Molly Elizabeth Schmachtenberger and Chad Benjamin Schmachtenberger.

In lieu of flowers, for those moved to honor Susan Mason Schmachtenberger's life and legacy, donations may be made to Christ Church in her honor.
