He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Ferguson and Dorothy Ferguson; his son Chris Dutton; his sister Jean Rich; his sibling's children, Brandi Tyson and Shane Early; and his in-laws, Dewitt and Bobbie Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Ferguson of Brownwood; his daughters, Neely Ray (Kevin) of Brownwood, Lisa Ferguson of Austin and Jennifer Aaron (Tony) of Early; his grandchildren, Kennedy Burnett of Minnesota, Kamrey Windham, Aubrey Felux, Haven Aaron and Brenna Gist; his sisters, Pat Johle (Roger) of Harker Heights and Betty Garner (Britt) of Abilene; and his sister-in-law Donna Tyson (Kelly) of Early. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heartland Funeral Home (303 Early Blvd, Early, TX 76802). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Salt Creek Baptist Church (7775 FM3100, Early, TX 76802).
