He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Jo Dodson and Roy Milford Dodson; and his sister Nonnie Jo. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Dodson (Bowden); his daughters, Amie Cheek (Thomas) and Lisa Perry (Jay); his sisters, Patricia Wilson and Gail Stafford; his grandchildren, Katie Townsend (Jaden), Sarah Varner (Colton), Zachary Perry, Caleb Perry, Emily Perry, Brianna Cheek, Skylar Cheek and Dale Cheek; and his great grandchildren, Paisley Townsend and Tyler Townsend.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blaylock Funeral Home (1914 Indian Creek Rd, Brownwood, TX 76801). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel (1914 Indian Creek Rd, Brownwood, TX 76801). A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at the Eastlawn Cemetery.
