He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis P. Savala Sr. and Herminia Cardenas Savala; his wife Geneva Galindo Savala; his siblings, Delphina S. Perez and Antonio C. Savala; and his grandsons, Benz S. Galindo Jr. (BJ) and Bobby Guzman.

He is survived by : his children, Benz Galindo of Selma, TX and Christina (Tony Ontiveros); his siblings, Maria Lupe (Richard Gonzales), Ernestine Savala Diaz of Bryan, TX, Jesse (Yolanda Savala), Rick Savala of Snook, TX, Daniel (Linda Savala) and Rosalinda DeLeon of Bryan, TX; his grandchildren, Reuben Ramirez Jr., Roxanne Ramirez, Paula Orosco, Katie Lynn Galindo and Brandi Geneve Galindo; and his great grandchild Asher Reginald Ballard Galindo.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hillier Funeral Home & Cremations (2301 E 29th St, Bryan, TX 77802). A rosary was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Santa Teresa Catholic Church (1212 Lucky St, Bryan, TX 77803). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Bryan City Cemetery (1111 N Texas Ave, Bryan, TX 77803).
