He was predeceased by: his wife Iris Owens; his parents, Curtis Owens and Irma Owens; his sister Jo Tutt; and his son Roy Michels.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Owens (Donna) of Sugar Land, David Owens (Debbie) of Pine Bluff, AR, Rex Michels (Maru) of Cypress and Kayla Stephenson (Chris). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
