He was predeceased by: his father Luke Bourgeois; and his grandparents, John Abe Fussell, Mamie Dimare F. Christie, Charles and Regina Bourgeois (Guilbeau).
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Sue Bourgeois (Courville); his children, Allison Bourgeois (Pete Garza), Stephanie Cerda (Sergio), Katherine Yarbrough (RJ) and Luke Allen Bourgeois; his grandchildren, Maxwell Selcer, Rebekah Yarbrough, Abigail Cerda, Zoey Yarbrough, Isaac Cerda and Emily Cerda; his child Arabella Garza; his mother Camille Bourgeois (Fussell); and his siblings, Margaret "Chickie" Mounier (Lionel, Jr.), Camille "Bunny" Quebedeaux (Grady), Luke Bourgeois II (Kristie), Regina "Gina" Matthews (Mark), Alyce Richard (Mark) and Desirée "Patti" Pizzolato. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
