It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Essie Marie Lee of Buna, Texas, born in Kirbyville, Texas, who passed away on March 26, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband William B. Lee; her parents, Melda Bean Tucker (Willie) and Curtis Thompson (Mirtie); her children, Myra McDonald Williams and Charlie Lee; and her siblings, Kathy McBride (Weldon), Nancy Strong, Lloyd Thompson and Randy Thompson.

She is survived by : her siblings, Virginia McDonald Sheridan, Jean Cockerham, Linda Williams, Cheryl Ware and Gary Thompson; her sister-in-law Gwen Thompson; her nieces and nephews, Melda McDonald Knapp, Jane McDonald Versyp, Carla McDonald Hooper, LaNita McBride Matlock, LaRonn McBride Curto, Jennifer Thompson Willis, Herschel McDonald, Chip McBride and Tommy Thompson; and her children, William B. Lee II (Carlene), Paul Lee (Marsha), Joanna Lee Whitten (George) and Stella Lee Godbold (Lloyd). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and numerous greatgrandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made in her Honor to First Baptist Church of Buna.
