He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Carl Brown and Minnie (Howell); his children, Jimmy Brown, Jr., Candice Inman, Cody Brown, Cheyenne Brown and Rocky Lewis; the mother of his children Cathy Palmer; and his sisters, Anita Hooker, Patricia Tidwell and Lou Anderson. He was also cherished by 5 grandchildren.

Funerals are currently a public event being held during the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
