He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard H. Batey and Maggie Bee Batey (Wiley); his siblings, Robert Batey and Deborah Batey Taft; his former wife Darlene Marie Batey; and his grandchildren, Amber Marie Batey and Travis Cody Lemons.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Batey; his brother Dan H. Batey; his sister-in-law Barbara Batey (Heideke); his former wife Joyce Gerdes Schuerg; and his children, Travis Batey (Veronica), Cindy Rapp (Skip), Jeannie Stark (Terry), Connie Barnes (Keith) and Margaux Cindy Teuscher (Louis). He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
