It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beatris Carranza Mata of Carrizo Springs, Texas, born in Meadow, Texas, who passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Matilde Santoya Carranza and Miguel Carranza; and her siblings, Mary Lou Woepse, Isabelle Murray, Arturo, Olivia and Miguel Carranza Jr..
She is survived by: her sister Lydia C. Galvan; her husband Juan Francisco Mata Sr.; and her children, Juan Francisco Mata Jr. (Elena), Cristobal (Laura) and Cristina (Victor Gutierrez). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
