We are sad to announce that on November 19, 2025, at the age of 79, Sixto Ortega Jr. of Carrizo Springs, Texas passed away. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sixto Ortega and Magdalena Ortega; and his siblings, Natalio Ortega, Guadalupe Muñoz and Irineo Ortega.
He is survived by: his children, Maria Elena Ortega of San Antonio, Carlos Ortega (Veronica) of La Feria, Armando Ortega of San Antonio, Sixto Ortega III of Carrizo Springs and Britney Carisales (Leo) of Ft. Worth; and his siblings, Inocencio Ortega, Maria Del Carmen Rodriguez, Irene Monarrez, San Juana Cortez and Herminia Garcia. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McAllen Funeral Home (512 S 12th St, McAllen, TX 78501). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
