He was predeceased by: his son Earnest Pruitt Junior of Carrollton, TX; his parents, Raymond Pruitt and Cora Pruitt of Carrollton, TX; and his siblings, Robert Arnold Pruitt, Bobby Pruitt and Theodosia Pruitt Brady.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda J Sladek of Taylor; his daughter Molly (Shannon) Ziman (David) of McKinney, TX.; his grandchildren, Bethany Certain (Gage), Bailey Pruitt and Leo Ziman; his great grandchild Rubie Rae Certain; and his siblings, James Grant Pruitt, Gregory Verner Pruitt, Stevie Pruitt, Ruby Jean Avramovic and Diana Pruitt. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rhoton Funeral Home (1511 S Interstate 35E, Carrollton, TX 75006). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
