We are sad to announce that on October 5, 2025, at the age of 69, Claude Griffin Jr. (Carthage, Texas), born in Jennings, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude E. Griffin, Sr. and Marguerite Shahan Griffin; his brothers, George Raymond Hogg, Robert Hogg and Donald Gene Hogg; and his son-in-law Nick Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Reeves Griffin; his daughter Stephanie Howard (Robert); his grandchildren, Blakely Young (Katlyn) and Justiss Howard; his stepdaughters, Stacey Carpenter and Kristen Carpenter; his mother-in-law Pat Reeves; and his brothers, Danny Griffin (Kim), Steve Hogg and Cleve Hogg (Patti). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hawthorn Funeral Home (307 W Wellington St, Carthage, TX 75633). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Odd Fellows Cemetery (256 S Market St, Carthage, TX 75633).
