With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Rodriguez of Castroville, Texas, who passed away on October 30, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Apolonio Solis, Sr. and Laura Mascorro Solis Gomez; her stepfather Eduardo Gomez; her son-in-law Marty Book; her siblings, Apolonio Solis, Jr. (Lilley), Mario Solis, Abram Solis, Ruben Solis, Juan "Johnny Joe" Solis, Esperanza Solis, Dorothy Solis and Ernestina Vidales (Roberto); and her siblings-in-law, Thomas E. Ybarra, Frank Moreno and Andrea Rivera Solis.
She is survived by: her husband Camilo'Camel'Rodriguez; her children, Macey Starr (Jesse Esquivel) of Castroville, Molly Rodriguez of Castroville and Nalissa Rodriguez (Victor) of Castroville; her grandchildren, Lisa Starr (Ricky), Rachel Starr (Albert), Clarissa Starr (Roland), Xianna Esquivel, Jesse Esquivel, Jr., Jonathon Book (Tiffany), Brandon Book, Marly Book (Chris), Gloria Ybarra, Maria Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez, Jr. and Samuel Rodriguez; her siblings, Carlos Solis, Gene Gomez (Jeanie), Gary Gomez (Margie), David Guel (Olivia), Martha Moreno and Alice Ybarra; and her brother-in-law Conrad Valderrama. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren.
