Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joe Albert Resas (Cedar Creek, Texas), who passed away at the age of 80, on September 14, 2025. He was predeceased by: his wife Amelia Galindo Resas; his father Jose Ramos Velasquez; his siblings, Larry Gonzalez, Richard Gonzalez, Juanita Velasquez Garza, Virginia Velasquez Mata and Eduardo Velasquez; his brothers-in-law, Ernest Galindo and Aureliano Galindo; and his mother Frances Resas Gonzales.
He is survived by: his children, Christina Castillo (John) and Reuben Resas (Rhonda); his grandchildren, Jonathon Castillo, Joshua Castillo, Christian Castillo, Christina Resas, Jordan Resas and Noah Resas; his great grandchild Elena Hernandez; and his siblings, Susie G. Castillo, Alex Gonzales, Daniel Gonzales, Diana G. Cortez, Rudy Gonzales, Jose Maria Velasquez, Valentin Velasquez, David Velasquez, Delfina Velasquez Prisock and Maria Elena Velasquez Garcia. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and numerous loving family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery (1467 TX-21, Cedar Creek, TX 78612).
