We bid farewell to Shird Gene Cantwell of Cedar Park, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 18, 2025 at the age of 85. Shird Gene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois King Cantwell and Albert Steve Cantwell; and his siblings, Maxine Pruitt, Olene F. Floyd, Shirley Dean Lewis and Curtis Cantwell.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Jewel Cantwell; and his children, Shird Gene Cantwell, Jr. (Jaime), John Steven Cantwell (Beth), Tony Greg Cantwell (Valorie), Chris Carlos Cantwell (Ashley), Albert Monroe Cantwell (Kelly), Sheila Marie Penny (John), Jana Gene Mouser (Herman) and Christine Cantwell (Tim). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, along with numerous friends.
In tribute to Shird's generous heart and lifelong kindness, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice, or simply perform an act of kindness in his memory.
