He was predeceased by : his parents, Melvin Earl and Lawana June Sides (Prater); his grandson Barrett Sides; and his brother Ralph Sides. He is survived by : his wife Cathy Lynn Hesteande of Chico; his children, Melissa Berry (Travis) of Arlington, Dusty Sides (Brandi) of Chico, Lana Simmons (Josh) of Alvord and Toby Sides (Mary) of Chico; his grandchildren, Amber, Miranda, Shawn, Jackie, Lilly, Addyson, Camryn, Emma, Jagar, Jaxan, Jatan, Heston and Wilder; and his siblings, Dale Sides (Cathy) of Winnsboro and Colleen Self (Buel) of Chico.
