He was predeceased by : his parents, Oscar Clifton Parrish, Sr. and Ollie Mae Akins Viles; his wife Eileen Parrish; his son Michael Parrish; and his sister Dorothy Walker.

He is survived by : his children, Janet Sturch of Bridgeport, Marianne Scheller (Michael) of Bridgeport, Vicki Baxter (Danny) of Dallas and Andy Parrish (Deanna) of McKinney; and his sister Wanda Sue Duncan of Landrum, SC. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
