He was predeceased by : his parents, Titus N. Hoover and Anna M. Moore Hoover; his sisters, Lois Dixon and Nettie Lee Ledbetter; and his nephew Eddie Bolinger.

He is survived by : his nieces, Cathy Fincher (Donny Pena), Brenda Morrison of Lone Grove and Margie Muncy (Curtis); and his great-nephews, Jeromy Morrison, Casey of Kingsland, Gary Morrison and Lammy of Comanche.
