He was predeceased by : his parents, Jessie Sims and Bessie Brady Sims; and his siblings, Eva Lincycomb-Warren, Ada Philpott, Bessie Davenport, Dennis Sims, Mittie Lou Chandler, Maxine Murphy and James Sims.
He is survived by : his wife Beverly Sims of Childress; his children, Lana K. Waits (John) of Lubbock, Connie G. Miller (Jeramy) of Childress and Michael E. Sims (Tara) of Lubbock; and his siblings, Georgia Jones and Leslie Sims. He is also survived by six grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
