She was predeceased by : her parents, Linton Tyler "Buck" and Virginia Imogene "Gene" Buckner (Thomas); her in-laws, Connie and Lola Douthit; her brother George Buckner; her stepdaughter Kim Girard; her granddaughter Shelby Jo Helona; and her great grandchild Leighton Richard Brantner.

She is survived by : her husband Lonnie Joe Douthit; her daughter Laurie Jo Helona; her stepdaughter Lea Black (Roy); her grandchildren, Fallon Brantner (Kyle), Hillary Helona, Celissa Jackson, RJ Black, Brandon Girard and Shannon Girard; her great grandchildren, Seiver Sandoval, Mikaela, Michael Ruiz, Jr., Kyler and Amity Brantner; and her great great grandchild Adelaide McKay.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda's honor to The Humane Society of Central Texas, 2032 Circle Rd, Waco, TX 76706.
