He is survived by : his wife Nelda Ortiz Aguilar; his son James Robert Aguilar Jr. (Miriam Aguilar); his grandchildren, Noah James Aguilar, Lashawndra, Myra Kuykendall, Phoenix and Phelix Minnitt; and his siblings, Barbara (David Cortez), Henry (Sonia Aguilar) and Danny (Amanda Aguilar).
