James Wedgeworth Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Wedgeworth of Clayton, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 21, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Reese and Grace Florence Bellamy Wedgeworth; his son Christopher Bryan Wedgeworth; his stepmother Ruby Sue Wedgeworth; and his siblings, Tracy (Jessie Jo Wedgeworth), Juanita (Bubba Clinton), Joe Dan (Mary Wedgeworth) and Aubrey (Joyce Wedgeworth).
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Wedgeworth; his sons, James W. "Jamie" Wedgeworth (Iris) and Keith Wedgeworth (Joslyn); his grandsons, Noah, Ethan, Slade, Seth and Sutton Wedgeworth; and his brother Grady Bill Wedgeworth (Jane). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home (1131 TX-149, Carthage, TX 75633). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Cemetery (1077 Co Rd 108, Carthage, TX 75633).
Memorial donations in lieu of flower offerings may be made to Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1050 County Road 108, Carthage, Texas 75633.
