He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gurley and Mamie Jewel Stephens (McMurrey); and his siblings, Ula Joe, Flora Mae, Kinkie, Marlene, Bob, Wayne and Sonny.
He is survived by: his wife Reba Stephens of Cleburne; his children, Everett Ray Stephens (Debbie) of Belton, Ronnie Dale Stephens (JoAnna) of Bryan, June Bosworth (Monty) of Grandview and Mary Hall (Gordon) of Cleburne; his grandchildren, Staci, Rebecca, Ronnie Kyle, Sandi, Parker, Stephanie, Stormi, Lisa, Shayla and Samara; and his brother Newman Ray Stephens (Mae) of Cleburne. He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren.
