He is survived by: his fiancée Tina Keene; his children, Christopher Townsend (Shelbie), Dewey Townsend (Emma) and Huntyr Martinez; his granddaughter Tilly Townsend; his siblings, Farris Wayne Townsend, Angel Dawn Townsend, Shelia Straub (Brooks) and Ginny Whitworth (John); and his siblings' children, Nicole Whitworth, Waelon, Gus, Birdie, John Jr., Maegan, Ally Whitworth, Billy Townsend, LeeAnn Townsend, Blaine, Austin, Chris York, Jeff York, Echo Wheeless, Julio, Deztyni, Izabelle, Julio Jr., Penny, Olivia, Jax Valadez, Skye Wheeless, Jared, Hailey Townsend, Nyla and Kehlani.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital—two causes that were close to Eddie's heart.
