He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas York and Vinnie York; and his sisters, Opal Stupp, Dorothy Crouch, Norma Smith and Gladys Weaver.

He is survived by : his wife Linda C York of Clifton; his children, Priscilla (David Shortnacy) of Joshua, Jennifer (Shawn Dickens) of Clifton, Thomas York and George C York; his adoptive son Kevin Hicks of Waco; and his siblings, Abram York and Addie Elaine of Waco. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

“In loving memory of George Archer York, With deepest sympathies. I am so sorry. I just heard that God received another angel. I did not know George that long but I do know he really enjoyed Double T. I definitely enjoyed seeing him and Linda everyday. Prayers and may he rest in peace. God got him a good one for sure.”
